The “Update Category” window is where you configure settings that affect the registration form and brackets for your event. Many of these settings are also used to set up the online registration form. The “Update Category” window is accessible for any existing category on the system. If you have not yet created a category for your event, please read the technical guide “Configuring Categories” to understand how create and use categories.
To access the “Update Category” window:
The configuration of the categories directly affects how the registration form collects data that affect the brackets. The display of the category fields in the Preview pane of the “Bracket Configuration” window is how the category fields appear in the online registration form (without CSS styles).
Figure 8 shows a completed category configuration. The Preview pane on the right side of the “Bracket Configuration” window displays a preview of the online registration form based on the configuration on the left. Figure 9 shows how the registration form actually displays the category fields with the default CSS styles applied.
