The Arkansas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation is proud to announce the The Arkansas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championship. This is a GI tournament.
The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition will offer divisions for kids, teens and adults.
All registered competitors will receive a FREE Tshirt!
Each competitor must fill out the registration form online. The registration fee is $65.00. You can compete in the Absolute division at no extra cost.
IMPORTANT:
The weight classes are the same used by IBJJF. The competitor will weigh in with the gi on right before the division starts. In the past we have weighed in before the tournament starts. At this tournament we will weigh in before the match. If you don't make weight, you will be immediately disqualified. Please make sure that you are in the correct weight category. You cannot change divisions, if you do not make your designed division. No changes will be accepted on the day of the tournament, and no refunds will be made. We offer an extra scale for people to check their weights before.
This is a sport with rules, and making weight for your division is part of the rules. In order to maintain the integrity of our tournament and the sport we STRICTLY enforce this policy, so please take responsibility and show up to the tournament at the correct weight for your division!
The tournament starts at 10 AM.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that each academy only have two athletes in the same division (of age/weight/belt). This is not required however. We will put team members at the opposite side of the brackets. If your team has a significant amount of competitors in the same division, we can not guarantee that your first match will not be against someone from the same team. In such case, no refunds can be made. We will do our best to avoid this, however in certain circumstances it is unavoidable. If your academy has problems regarding the number of athletes in each division, please send e-mail to arbjjf@gmail.com.
Teen & Adult Divisions - The tournament is single elimination. Medals will be awarded to the 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place of each division. Athletes will compete for 3rd place.
Kids Divisions - This is a single elimination tournament. We guarantee each child at least one match.
